THE STORY OF SPACE RADIO

With experience spanning national tours, major live music stages, corporate events, private functions, weddings, cruise ships, theme parks, and some of the country’s most recognized entertainment venues, Space Radio brings a proven level of professionalism, versatility, and energy to every performance. The group has an all-star lineup of Gabrielle Vaughn on vocals, McMillin on guitar and vocals, Laurence Freeman on bass and vocals, and Sam Rivera on drums, keys, and vocals. Space Radio has performed on major stages including Moonshine Flats in San Diego, and Vaughn has shared the stage with iconic artists such as Kevin Bacon and recorded with Kathy Sledge of Sister Sledge. McMillin and Laurence Freeman have also performed with Jelly Roll at the grand opening of his Nashville bar, reflecting the caliber of opportunities and live performance experience represented within the group.

Space Radio’s experience extends well beyond the stage, with the band performing for private events, weddings, and corporate functions for organizations including Heaven Hill Distillery, Emory University, Siemens Electric, and more. Their extensive experience across a wide range of event environments allows them to adapt seamlessly to everything from large-scale celebrations and corporate gatherings to high-energy nightlife and destination events.

The members of Space Radio first crossed paths while pursuing their music education at Belmont University. Although their individual careers took them in different directions, they eventually reconnected over a shared vision: to bring something fresh, dynamic, and genuinely unique to Nashville’s live music scene. That vision became Space Radio — a genre-defying live band built around exceptional musicianship, versatility, and an approach that keeps every performance feeling fresh.
